Job description: HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Senior RFP Writer – this is a specialist role with the Asset Management business.In this role you will:
- Complete RFPs, RFIs and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for Institutional and Wholesale clients and consultants across all asset classes, investment strategies and funds.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders/subject matter experts to ensure HSBC clients receive high quality information relating to AM’s investment philosophy, capabilities, processes, investment vehicles.
- Partner with colleagues in other geographical regions (including Asia Pacific, Europe, India and US) to support cross-border RFPs, RFIs and other client documents.
- Comply with all relevant risk & compliance regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the marketplace and an awareness of how HSBC’s investment capabilities can have influence.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- A thorough understanding of the Asset Management markets industry and the various asset classes is essential, knowledge of Alternative Investment vehicles is especially important for this role.
- Possess the relevant level of experience and knowledge of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and other related client documents, including regulations, compliance requirements and delivery processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills to be able to confidently manage conflicting priorities when dealing with multiple projects.
- Advanced communication skills – written and verbal, with the ability to deliver detailed, high quality client documents.
This role is based in HSBC office at 8 Canada Square London with flexibility for some home working however you should be able to travel to London on a weekly basis.Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve.
