  • Create a warm, welcoming environment where every customer feels like an All Black stepping onto the field.
  • Work with the Retail Manager to drive the team to meet and smash sales KPIs.
  • Maintain top-tier visual merchandising standards – because looking sharp matters.
  • Stay alert and minimise loss – defence wins games!
  • Be a walking, talking encyclopedia of our products – share the stories behind the gear.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience, ensuring every interaction is gold-standard.
  • Assist with training new team members – mentorship grows champions.

Stock and Operations – Keeping the Team in Play

  • Support stock ordering and ensure everything is game-ready and in top condition.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly stocktakes like a seasoned coach analyzing game stats.
  • Oversee deliveries and maintain accurate stock records – precision is key.
  • Ensure the store is always match-fit – clean, organized, and stocked for action.

Financial and Administration – Keeping the Scoreboard Ticking

  • Play your part in balancing takings and invoicing with accuracy.
  • Assist with end-of-month reporting and procedures – because stats matter.
  • Contribute to improving retail KPIs and sales performance.

Cultural Confidence – Wearing the Jersey with Pride

  • Grow and embrace Ngāi Tahutanga – deepen your knowledge of our history and values.
  • Incorporate te reo Māori and tikanga into your daily mahi.
  • Represent Ngāi Tahu with pride and uphold the mana of the brand.

Ngā Pūkenga – The Skill Set

  • 3+ years within a customer-facing retail role.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Experience in stock management, reporting, and retail KPIs.
  • A strong knowledge and passion for rugby – because we live and breathe it.
  • Confident, adaptable, and thrives within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills – both kanohi ki te kanohi (face-to-face) and online.
  • Ability to work weekends and be part of a rotating roster.
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Ngāi Tahu values, te reo Māori, and tikanga.
  • A passion for sustainability and upholding the Tiaki Promise to protect Aotearoa for future generations.
