Job description: The roleWe are seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher in epidemiology or medical statistics, ideally with experience modelling repeated measures. The postholder will join a team of perinatal epidemiologists and statisticians at the and . The postholder will use the unique repeated measures data from the renowned to extend life course trajectories of cardiometabolic and mental health; to investigate the associations of pre-conception health with pregnancy and perinatal outcomes, and to estimate the causal effects of pregnancy on post-natal cardiometabolic and mental health.Hybrid working is possible with a minimum of 2 days a week at the office for a 1FTE.What will you be doing?You will use appropriate methods for handling hierarchical data to analyse repeated measures of cardiometabolic and mental health collected on ALSPAC participants from birth to pregnancy and beyond. You will communicate results at regular meetings both internally and with external collaborators; attend and present at conferences, and lead the writing of research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.You should apply ifYou should have a PhD (or be working towards) in epidemiology, medical statistics, or a related quantitative subject, or have equivalent professional experience in the research area required.You will ideally have experience analysing repeated measures but we will also consider applications from applicants who have demonstrable experience of using other advanced statistical models, e.g., multiple imputation. You will have Stata and/or R programming skills, and a track record of productivity at a level appropriate for your career stage.
