Job description: We are currently seeking an “Senior Recruiter” for a contract role with one of our clients in Canada.Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Mississauga, ON/RemoteRole Overview:As a Recruiter supporting Buildings & Places division in Canada, you will be at the forefront of sourcing and hiring top-tier talent in architecture, engineering, design, project management, and related disciplines. You will serve as a trusted partner to hiring managers, helping to deliver on ambitious growth plans and building a workforce that thrives on innovation and collaboration.Key Responsibilities:Talent Acquisition for B+P Projects:
- Lead the recruitment process for roles across architecture, urban design, building engineering (structural, mechanical, electrical), and project management disciplines.
- Develop recruitment strategies tailored to specific project requirements, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality candidates.
Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development:
- Proactively source and engage passive candidates through creative sourcing channels, including LinkedIn, professional networks, and industry events.
- Build a robust pipeline of top talent for current and future needs in key skill areas such as sustainable design, BIM, and digital project delivery.
Partnering with Hiring Managers:
- Collaborate with hiring managers across the B+P division to understand workforce needs, project timelines, and role requirements.
- Provide market insights, hiring trends, and best practices to ensure effective recruitment strategies.
Promoting Employer Brand:
- Actively promote reputation as an employer of choice within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
- Represent at industry events, career fairs, and on professional platforms to build brand awareness and attract top talent.

- Champion commitment to diversity and inclusion by developing strategies to attract diverse candidates.
- Foster an inclusive recruitment process that ensures equitable consideration for all applicants.
Enhancing the Candidate Experience:
- Deliver a seamless and engaging candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and providing timely feedback throughout the recruitment process.
- Support successful candidate onboarding in collaboration with HR and hiring managers.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously assess recruitment processes for efficiency and alignment with business needs.
- Leverage data and metrics to improve hiring outcomes and ensure adherence to global hiring standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, ideally within the architecture, engineering, or construction sectors.
- Strong sourcing skills with proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other talent acquisition tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple roles and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience recruiting for roles in architecture, urban planning, engineering, and project management.
- Familiarity with Canadian employment laws and recruitment practices in the AEC industry.
- Experience working in a multinational, matrixed organization.
