The successful candidate will have proven expertise in leading Program offices though business change and transitions using project management delivery practices. Reporting to the Principal Member Group Delivery, the key accountabilities of the Senior Project Portfolio Manager will be:

  • People management and leadership of the PMO team
  • Ensure the business outcomes and benefits are fully realised for the whole portfolio of projects and programs across Member Domain and Member Operations
  • Create, manage and coordinate core project / portfolio management activities and artefacts across governance and reporting, minutes, financial reporting and analysis, risk and issue management, resource management, vendor management, benefits planning and realisation, planning and scheduling across the portfolio
  • Provide oversight of progress and delivery; management of “in flight” and pipeline interdependencies; and ensuring that the benefits are delivered across the Member Group portfolio
  • Develop and uplift capabilities as it relates to portfolio management, project delivery and project management standards across the Fund

What You’ll NeedExtensive experience in Project/Program Management/Services leadership rolesExperience leading a multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver outcomesKnowledge of technology, operations, superannuation administration and/or financial productsExperience within financial services, business or information technology project environmentsExperience of working within and supporting a ‘gated’ project and program governance frameworkExcellent knowledge and application of standard project management methods, tools and techniquesDemonstrated experience in agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.Experience developing Steering Committee Reports, Dashboards and Papers for Executives, Management Teams and/or Program DirectorsWorking knowledge of or ability to identify opportunities for the adoption and management of project processes and toolsetsPractical knowledge of portfolio management techniques, processes and artefactsProject management qualifications, such as Prince2 or PMPTertiary degree in business, finance, science/engineering or ITLife at AustralianSuperAustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
