Job description: 1.Purpose(Sr.) People and Communication manager own and drive the P&C agenda for his/her responsibility unit. They support the achievement of KONE’s business objectives and contribute to the ongoing development of the business by aligning the P&C agenda so that the outcomes meet KONE’s current and future business needs. They drive the actions to attract, engage, develop, and motivate employees and develop KONE as a great place to work together with other Unit P&C, P&C Center of Expertise (CoE), and Services teams.(Sr.) People and Communication manager act as strategic business partners. He/she focus on advising, coaching, and developing their respective leadership teams and other business leaders and participate in P&C service delivery. He/she promote the usage of the P&C service delivery model in his/her units and proactively share feedback and business requirements to different P&C teams and help them to turn those into actions that improve P&C service delivery.2.Responsibilities and key activitiesThis section includes the responsibilities and key activities that the Unit P&C Head is either accountable for, or responsible to execute.Responsibilities and key activities

  • Successfully define, drive and own the P&C agenda and participate in the design, development, and delivery of different actions so that the outcomes meet KONE’s current and future business needs, attracts, engages, develops, and motivates employees and develops KONE as a great place to work.
  • Work together with other P&C teams to deliver and achieve success in the following areas:
  • Learning and Development – e.g. competence and talent development priorities, leadership team and critical talent development, global program nominations, training needs and priorities
  • Talent Management – e.g. talent management and acquisition strategy, talent management and acquisition guidelines, workplace equality, diversity and inclusion, key positions identification, leadership and talent review, long-term workforce planning, critical candidate selection, headcount review.
  • Performance and Reward – e.g. performance management process, managing performance improvement, recognizing high performance, reward strategy, reward and recognition planning and guidelines, off cycle rewards, wellbeing.
  • P&C Operations Development – e.g. manage organization and positions, plan headcount and employment costs
  • Organizational Development – e.g. organization design, restructuring and job evaluation
  • Culture and engagement – e.g. strategy and values communication, nurturing KONE culture
  • Change management – e.g. driving business transformation in units.
  • Employment/Industrial/Labor relations
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Understand business requirements and strategic objectives and turn them into P&C agenda priorities together with P&C CoE and P&C Services teams.
  • Drive the alignment and consistency and take responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of P&C policies, processes and systems to ensure P&C is aligned with the business strategy and goals.
  • Ensure employee’s and their competence levels meet current and future business needs (long and short term workforce planning, deployment of strategic workforce plan, monitor and analyze headcount cost development)
  • Develop annual P&C budgets in line with global budgeting guidelines.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Unit P&C employees.
  • Proactively guide, align, and share feedback with P&C CoE and P&C Services teams to enable quality service delivery.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable regulations, laws and employment standards.
  • Scan market trends and current way of operating to identify gaps and feed these into Unit P&C, P&C CoE, and P&C Services teams and collaborate with them on a daily basis.
  • A member of their respective Management Teams (i.e. Unit, Area or Global)

  • Diverse P&C background either from Unit P&C and P&C Center of Expertise roles or both
  • Strong business acumen, and customer oriented.
  • Proven track record of successful roles in multi-cultural business environment
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills
  • Diverse experience in coaching and developing talent, teams, and business leaders
  • Experience in working across functional/business lines in a global matrix organization
  • Hands-on project management and change management experience
  • R&D and/or digital industry background is preferred.
  • Solid people related financial planning and analysis skill
  • Keep confidential for related information.
  • Proactive and self-driven

4.3Entry-level requirements

  • M.Sc. or Bachelor degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in multinational company
  • Fluent English and Chinese communication
