Working amongst a supportive environment, with the ability to take the reigns and lead change, this is a new role, and a great opportunity for a payroll professional who is looking for their next challenge.Position DescriptionReporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a supportive team, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing high volume payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Maintaining and updating accurate payroll data, including data collection and entry.
  • Processing calculations including back-payments, redundancy calculations, terminations and leave

entitlements * Providing support and guidance to employees on payroll-related matters.

  • Collaborating and communicating with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll related queries
  • Supporting the Payroll Helpdesk as required and ensure that tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Interpreting relevant Awards and ensuring compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements
  • Completing project work as directed by Payroll Lead/Manager

The Successful CandidateTo be a success in this role you will possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar Payroll Officer position within a medium/large scale business
  • Experience using Chris 21 or iChris is essential
  • Understanding of and experience interpreting multiple Awards/EBAs
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate complex matters in a simplified manner
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work within a fast paced environment
