See where your commitment could take you.Who are we looking for?Our Digital Design I team is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our workshare team in supporting New Zealand office to efficiently deliver projects and provide high value consultancy services.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Client Liaison – Develop good business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard
- Business Development – Develop new and repeat business, including preparation of proposals and bids for projects
- Project Management – Provide project management, investigation, design and implementation stages of a range of projects involving water supply, wastewater, stormwater and multidisciplinary projects
- Mentoring and Coaching – Provide guidance to junior design engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them
- Technical Leadership – Provide technical input and leadership to projects. Including review QA/QC of project deliverables.
- Knowledge – Keep knowledge and competencies current, guide staff and contribute to GHD Global Knowledge Base
- Quality Assurance – Deliver high quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables, with appropriate checks and reviews
- Technical Delivery – Investigate water, wastewater and stormwater options and feasibility assessments. Undertake designs and assist with construction monitoring and construction management
What you will bring to the team?
- Tertiary qualified with minimum 10 years’ experience in a water/wastewater engineering role
- Detailed design of mechanical systems, and coordination of systems into multi-discipline projects
- Competence in NZ Codes and Standards
- Modelling/CAD (Revit/Autocad) experience/knowledge, either hands-on or in a leadership/coordination role
- Ability to think laterally in delivering project solutions
- Project Management experience, including management of financials, budget etc.
- An understanding of local government processes and practices
- Ability to work in a team environment
