Location: Kharian Liaison Office, PakistanJob Summary:The Senior Manager – Systems and Network Administration will oversee the System and Network Support team to ensure the smooth and secure operation of the company’s IT infrastructure. This role involves managing email exchange , active directory, data servers, domains, DNS, SSL, XDR, VOIP, Internet, MDM and overall network security and management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving the organization’s IT systems.Key Responsibilities: * Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the System and Network team to ensure high performance and efficiency.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for the team to stay updated with the latest technologies.
  • Network Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other network segments.
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout the company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and outages, and collaborate with network architects on optimization.
  • Server Management:
  • Oversee email server management, ensuring reliable and secure communication.
  • Manage active directory servers, including user authentication, permissions, and configurations.
  • Ensure optimal performance and security of data servers, including backup and recovery processes.
  • Manage Linux servers, ensuring high availability and security.
  • System Setup and Configuration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including operating systems, application servers, and network devices.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement system architecture to meet business requirements.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance:
  • Proactively monitor system performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted service availability.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and security enhancements.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Develop and implement security protocols to protect the organization’s IT assets.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk management.
  • Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus solutions, and VPN services.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices to protect systems against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, ISO-27001, PCI-DSS or other relevant requirements.
  • Oversee Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Implement and manage Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions for enhanced threat detection.
  • Public/Local IP Management:
  • Assign and maintain records of all public and local IP addresses.
  • SSL Management:
  • Monitor and renew SSL certificates to maintain secure web communications.
  • Implement best practices for SSL certificate usage and management.
  • Microsoft 365 Management:
  • Maintain Microsoft Office 365/Intune licenses and subscriptions.
  • Oversee user creation, deactivation, data backup, and license purchase/renewal.
  • Backup and Recovery:
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and services.
  • Test and document recovery procedures to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
  • Endpoint and Device Management:
  • Implement and oversee Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to secure company devices.
  • FTP Management:
  • Ensure the secure operation and maintenance of FTP servers.
  • Manage user access and data transfers through FTP servers.
  • Attendance Server Management:
  • Manage attendance servers, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with attendance systems.
  • Wi-Fi Network Management:
  • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of Wi-Fi networks for seamless connectivity.
  • Ensure secure access and monitor for unauthorized activities.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system and network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Generate reports on system performance, resource usage, capacity planning, and security incidents.
  • Share regular updates with Team Lead and Head of Technology on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • System Optimization:
  • Analyze system workloads and optimize resource allocation to improve performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Recommend hardware and software upgrades when necessary.

Required Qualifications:Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP are highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT network and security management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux servers.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security tools.
  • Experience with DNS, SSL certificates, and email server configurations.
  • Hands-on expertise with active directory, data servers, and backup systems.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi networks and attendance systems.
  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Mobile Device Management (MDM), and data security measures.
  • Expertise in email exchange management and VoIP services.
