Job description: Lead the Strategic Sourcing function for HSBC account for the Sub Region of South Asia and base in Malaysia. Senior Manager – Strategic Sourcing (Client) South Asia Strategic Sourcing – Asia Pacific Summary This role shall lead the Sourcing & Procurement function for a client account in South Asia (ANZ, SG, MY, IN). Also to support and execute strategic outsourcing, cost savings and vendor management programs to support account’s Sourcing & Procurement commitments to client. This role is base in Malaysia. OVERALL ROLE This role reports directly to the Regional Director, Strategic Sourcing Asia Pacific (Client), with a matrix reporting line to the Sub-Regional Account Director (Client) , it requires a multi-disciplined subject matter expert in Indirect Procurement with in depth knowledge of Integrated Facility Management (IFM), to manage complex initiatives and integrated outsourcing programs. Responsibility also extends to procurement governance, vendor management and deliver contract / procurement strategies to achieve long term client benefits. This role requires experience in facilities management and or procurement activity to support the Client’s portfolio of facilities in South Asia. This includes working with the local dedicated Sourcing teams and engagement with local IFM teams to execute vendor sourcing and savings projects through effective negotiation and competitive procurement programs. Major Responsibilities Business partner to Senior leaders Provide strategic Sourcing & Procurement direction across functional areas and programs that involve strategic outsourcing and vendor management across multiple IFM disciplines. Active vendor management in the form of quarterly business reviews. Lead process of developing vendor management strategy, identifying, sourcing, and securing resources based on business requirements/results Functional Leadership Working with local dedicated Sourcing & Procurement teams to Manage the RFP, pricing and negotiation process for the client on behalf of JLL, Provide account support in managing the Jones Lang LaSalle ERP Procurement Module. This includes system training, vendor performance management, and providing regular reporting to client account teams. Assist in developing and communicating the IFM and Sourcing & Procurement vision to the client, JLL, vendors and Strategic Alliance Partners. Supports the strategies for negotiation of major programs, projects and/or vendor activities. Operational Leadership Implement, and operate integrated outsourcing strategies, standards and guidelines, training, costing parameters and tools/templates. Set savings targets and goals for IFM, Sourcing & Procurement programs, and developing metrics for tracking performance. Implementing and maintaining procurement rules and standards set by JLL and client. CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Ideal Experience Business / Commerce Degree with at least 8 years’ experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and negotiation. Relevant work experience in IFM with knowledge of procurement for services related to facility management will be highly regarded. Management experience in integrated outsourcing and supply chain management and procurement. Practical knowledge of facilities management, maintenance operations and engineering and risk management and capable of changing them to meet new and evolving needs will be highly regarded. Management of outsourcing relationships and the ability to accomplish results through vendor management. Execution of vendor contracts between the company and the vendor, drawing upon good contract management skills, negotiation and problem solving. Critical Competencies for Success Financial Modelling Competency in financial modelling, feasibility studies and total cost of ownership analysis. Ability to analyse complex problems and generate solutions. Influencing Skills Exhibit exceptional relationship management and conflict management capabilities in order to guide the company-vendor relationship. Proven ability to lead by example, with strong influencing skills. Team Leadership Skills etc Experience managing multi country procurement teams. Other Personal Characteristics Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English require, Capable of managing projects in an atmosphere of uncertainty and change.
