AufgabenAbout usAt SCHOTT, we are pioneers in specialty glass and materials technology. In our Business Unit Lighting & Imaging in the segment “Medical Components”, we develop innovative solutions for medical applications that improve lives around the world. As a Senior Manager (m/f/d)*, you will play a key role in driving strategic growth and transformation in the field of medical components.Your Contribution

• Drive Strategic Growth: Develop and implement business strategies to strengthen SCHOTT’s market position in the medical technology sector.
• Lead Complex Projects: Manage strategic initiatives such as New Business Development, Portfolio Optimization, and M&A activities.
• Enable Decision-Making: Conduct in-depth analyses to support strategic decisions and identify risks and opportunities for the Strategic Business Field.
• Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and communicate strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Optimize Processes: Improve internal business development processes and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Support Business Development: Translate strategic goals into actionable measures and ensure their successful implementation.
• Lead International Teams: Provide content leadership in a matrix organization and foster a high-performance team culture.

Your Profile

• Excellent university degree (Master’s, MBA or PhD), ideally in a scientific or technical field (e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Engineering) and/or with an additional focus on economics or business.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Business Development, or Strategy – preferably in the medical technology sector or in management/strategy consulting.
• Proven experience in leading complex strategic and business development projects.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, paired with excellent communication abilities.
• High level of initiative and a passion for driving change and innovation.
• Fluent in English and German.
