Job description: Job Summary The Senior Manager, Stakeholder Communications, will play a crucial role in managing the corporate communications portfolio, focusing on media relations, public relations, internal communications, crisis communications, and award submission management. This role requires a strategic visionary who can continuously improve communication workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head of Group Corporate Communications and top management while managing the Stakeholder Communications team and our agencies as an extension of resources. Key Responsibilities: Media Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media stakeholders. Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, articles, advertorials, and media interviews. Organize and manage media briefings, interviews, and press conferences. Public Relations: Strategically communicate corporate messages to enhance the company’s reputation. Develop and implement public relations strategies. Monitor and analyze media coverage to measure the effectiveness of PR efforts, with the assistance of our agencies. Internal Communications: Manage internal communications platforms such as group announcements, townhalls, LinkedIn and internal engagement activities. Oversee the development of content for internal communications to ensure clarity and consistency. Coordinate festive corporate decor at Head Office to promote employee engagement. Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to protect the company’s reputation. Act as a key point of contact during crises, providing timely and effective communication to stakeholders. Prepare and maintain crisis communication plans and tools. Awards Submission Management and Award Dinner Management: Manage the submission process for industry awards, ensuring all entries are compelling and accurate. Coordinate Award Dinners between internal and external stakeholders. Agency Management: Manage and guide the agency hired as an extension of our resources. Ensure the agency delivers high-quality work aligned with corporate objectives. Collaborate with the agency to develop and execute strategic communication plans. Strategic Vision and Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve communication workflows and processes. Provide strategic insights to enhance the effectiveness of corporate communications. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the company’s communications remain innovative and effective. Content Leadership: Ensure a balance of tone in all communications, from lifestyle articles to corporate reports. Lead the development of specific pieces with the appropriate tone of voice for the target audience. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably in a large multinational corporation. Exceptional organizational skills and language proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu (additional languages are a plus). Strong experience in media relations and managing multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to manage crises and develop effective communication strategies. Experience in managing agencies and working closely with top management. Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strategic planning and analytical skills. Competencies: Integrity and compliance with company policies and regulations. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. Creative and innovative approach to communications.
