Our plans to expand into the Greater Bay Area (GBA) will also cultivate talent to serve Hong Kong and the wider metropolitan GBA.For more information about the University, please visit .We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Public Affairs Office:QualificationsMajor Duties and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a skilled and strategic professional to join our office as the Senior Manager of Public Affairs (Strategic Content and Publications). Reporting to the Director of Public Affairs, the appointee will mainly be responsible for:

  • Planning and overseeing the design and production of University-level publications, including the annual report, newsletters, e-bulletins, social media posts, research stories, web articles highlighting achievements by faculty members, students and alumni, as well as marketing materials and programme brochures. The appointee will ensure that the design and messaging align with the University’s mission, strategic goals, image and branding;
  • Developing strategies to maximise the dissemination and impact of the publications and content through adaptation and promotion across various platforms and channels;
  • Creating engaging stories to enhance social engagement and publicity, drafting SEO-friendly web contents, and crafting compelling narratives that support the University’s brand, values, strategic goals and initiatives;
  • Developing and editing speeches for senior management for both internal and external events, ensuring alignment with the University’s strategic goals and positioning;
  • Producing videos that delivers meaningful stories of faculty members’, students’ and alumni’ achievements, as well as campus life;
  • Editing and reviewing content to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with the University’s strategic goals and positioning;
  • Planning, organising and supporting PR events to promote the University’s initiatives and achievements;
  • Managing the team’s budget and supporting the office’s administration, as well as contributing to other areas such as public and media relations and marketing when needed; and
  • Undertaking other duties as assigned by the Director of Public Affairs.

CandidatesCandidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies:

  • A relevant recognised degree, preferably in journalism, communications, public relations or related disciplines;
  • At least 12 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in corporate communication, content development, story-telling, copywriting and public affairs;
  • A proven track record of enhancing corporate image through the planning and implementation of content development and corporate publication production;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua;
  • Strong PR sense; proficiency in social media and digital communication tools, as well as familiarity with emerging PR practices, is a definite advantage;
  • Well-organised with strong multi-tasking and time management skills;
  • Ability to manage projects independently and work under pressure and tight deadlines;
  • A good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in coaching / team management;
  • Mature, detail-oriented, self-motivated with analytical mind and a can-do spirit; and
  • Flexible and willing to work outside office hours when required.
