Job description: Our client is looking to appoint an NFR expert to advise their external stakeholders, customers and business at large large on the development and maintenance of regulatory change. You will have the influencing capability to engage with senior management in the bank and have the skills to forge strong relationships with the regulators and other government agencies to represent the banks views on regulatory change initiatives.The role:

• Provide specialist advice on the regulatory change process.
• Create processes and procedures relevant to managing regulatory change in the bank and have an integrated view of how this affects all areas within the organisation.

The Person:

• Experienced in regulatory and legislative processes in the NZ banking or financial services sector.
• Experience in policy work and legal analytics combined with strong writing capability.
• Will have legal training and a bent towards regulatory change and policy work.
• Be able to interpret complex issues in a streamlined way to explain to stakeholders and develop effective strategies to deal with the regulators.
• Will be tertiary qualified with strong technical understanding of non financial risk.
