Our ambition for our ASB People is to have ‘a place where our people thrive and grow to progress.’Our Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team play a leading role in keeping ASB, our customers and communities safe and protected from financial crime and mitigate the risks of money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions, bribery & corruption, and tax evasion.Mo te tūranga | About the Role:Due to increased focus in financial crime transformation and specialized business needs for FC advisory support we have new Senior Manager and Manager opportunities created to support the HO FCC Advisory and the GM FCC in delivering ASB’s financial crime strategic objectives.These roles will:

  • Lead a culture of FCC compliance within ASB through providing the business with subject matter expertise and advice to support projects and change initiatives, ensuring that policy and regulatory requirements are embedded, and that the control environment is robust.
  • Identify key FCC-related risks across ASB and provide quality expertise and advise to key stakeholders.
  • Assess key financial crime controls across the bank, and work with the business to impact-assess complex change initiatives.

Ō pūkenga | About you:

  • Strong experience in Compliance, Risk Management or Audit
  • In-depth knowledge of financial crime risks and financial services legislation and regulations
  • Prior experience in managing and coaching direct reports, preferably in a role delivering change or transformational activities
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex technical information to non-subject matter experts
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of leading from the front by displaying a positive attitude, high integrity and empathy towards your team and broader stakeholders
