Job description: Responsibilities Support to Head of Internal Audit: Manage the Internal Audit Department, including developing the Annual Audit Plan and resource planning. Prepare for Board Audit Committee meetings. Coordinate with external consultants and other external parties. Handle budget preparation, monitoring, and administrative tasks. Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships and engage with stakeholders, including Senior Management and Department Heads. Promote awareness of risk, governance, and controls within the organization. Advise on key company initiatives, providing counsel and facilitation as required. Financial Management: Ensure departmental expenses remain within budget and align with company goals. Business Operations: Oversee the completion of audit engagements per the Annual Audit Plan within established quality standards. Ensure time, cost, and expense recoveries align with targets. Implement and improve internal audit methodologies for continuous enhancement. Learning & Development: Mentor and develop internal audit team members through coaching and training programs. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and fulfill role responsibilities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional accounting qualification. Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CISA, or equivalent. Minimum of 10 years of internal audit experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role. In-depth knowledge of internal auditing standards, principles, and practices. Proven expertise in risk assessment, audit planning, and execution. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction. Demonstrated leadership and team management experience. High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and confidentiality.
