Define and implement a comprehensive enterprise data governance framework under the direction of the Chief Enterprise Data Officer (CEDO).
Align data governance strategies with the overall objectives of the PSW’s organizational goals.
Drive cross-departmental collaboration through the Data Governance Committee and other governance bodies.
Develop, implement, and enforce enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with international and local regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, and ISO 27001.
Oversee periodic audits and compliance checks, proactively addressing gaps to mitigate risks.
Enable full transparency and traceability of data flow across PSW’s ecosystem.
Implement and manage metadata management tools such Apache Atlas, Infromatica EDC, Talend Data Fabric.
Establish and monitor key data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness) and processes to ensure the trustworthiness of PSW’s data.
Utilize tools like Great Expectations, Informatica Data Quality Suite, Talend Data Quality for automated data quality validation and documentation, profiling, cleansing and enrichment of data.
Collaborate with the IT Security team to ensure adherence to data access policies and organizational security standards.
Implement data access governance using tools such as Apache Ranger, Oracle Data Governance Suite for policy-based access control, auditing and compliance management.
Evaluate and oversee the implementation of state-of-the-art governance technologies, including open-source and proprietary solutions.
Ensure seamless integration of governance tools with PSW’s data infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses.
Stay updated on emerging trends and tools in data governance, proposing innovations to the CEDO as needed.
Promote a culture of accountability and responsibility for data governance across PSW.
Conduct regular training and workshops for staff on governance tools, processes, and compliance requirements.
Act as a change agent to enhance data literacy and adoption of best practices.
Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of the data governance program.
Prepare periodic governance performance reports for the CEDO, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
11-12 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in data governance roles.
Proven experience with tools such as:
Proven experience with Open-Source Tools: Apache Atlas, Apache Ranger, Great Expectations.
Proven experience with Proprietary Tools: Informatica Axon, Informatica EDC, Talend Data Fabric, Oracle Data Governance Suite.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
Expertise in metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging tools.
Strong skills in data quality validation, monitoring, and reporting.
Familiarity with big data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and Data Warehousing Solutions (e.g. Oracle Data Warehouse, Teradata, MS SQL Server Data Warehouse).
Advanced knowledge of access control mechanisms and security frameworks.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to drive organizational change and foster a culture of accountability for data governance.
