Job description: Connect to your IndustryDeloitte is making a significant investment in PE Strategy. This will be up to 20 partners and their associated teams over a 3-5 year period in the UK. This investment will sit within Strategy and Business Design, which has four related capabilities: Strategy, Simulation, Innovation & Growth and Economic Advisory. Furthermore the UK will also act as a European hub for NSE PE strategy.Because this is a new team attempting rapid growth to scale, involving partners who mostly do not have a Big Four background, this team needs a dedicated operations team to support this growth.Connect to your career at DeloitteDeloitte drives progress. These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.Connect to your opportunitySitting within the Strategy & Business Design Business Operations team and reporting into the S&BD Operations Lead/COO, this dynamic role has a variety of responsibilities, aligned to our key priorities. The primary responsibility will be to help the partners design and implement key processes in PE Strategy alongside the associated Deloitte functions:
- Collaborate with the Recruitment team to design and implement talent processes appropriate to the Strategy talent market, with a focus on D&I and work with the Onboarding team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new recruits
- Regular reporting on and review of headcount and business shape data to support decision making on recruitment
- Work with HR and Reward to define career structures and compensation
- Support HR during performance management processes, assisting with case reviews and the promotion processes
- Work with Learning & Development to ensure all grades below Director have the appropriate training
- Supporting on optimising key commercial drivers of financial performance (including resource efficiency, taxi-rank staffing, integration of staffing, ‘project review board’ and project control)
- Driving optimal financial performance of the business by providing oversight of key financial processes including long-term / in-year planning / forecasting and financial reporting / analysis
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks from the Lead Partner / COO
- Act as champion for key change management projects for the successful rollout of Firmwide initiatives

- Has worked in a Tier 1 or 2 strategy firm designing and implementing these operational and talent processes (especially in relation to talent).
- Has experience in high-growth environments in professional services, especially in relation to hiring and onboarding best practices.
- Has experience of integrating the support functions around a professional services team into a coherent operating model.
Desired
- Has worked in the Big Four and understands the culture and audit compliance implications of various processes.
- Has designed processes in a strategy team that has material business in both corporate and PE clients / transaction environments.
- Has integrated teams through M&A / team lifts.
