Job description: On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our Client’s team on a Contract basis. This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Burnaby, BC.Summary of the Role
The Senior IT Project Manager will oversee multiple concurrent facilities-related IT infrastructure projects. This role involves defining technical scopes, managing project delivery from planning through implementation, and ensuring control over budgets, schedules, resources, and stakeholder engagement.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage several facilities-related IT infrastructure projects simultaneously.Lead project delivery through the full lifecycle, from scope definition to implementation.Oversee technical planning across domains such as servers, storage, and network systems (voice, data, wireless).Maintain budget controls and manage project timelines and resource allocation.Engage stakeholders and lead communications across technical and non-technical groups.Core RequirementsMinimum 6 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects.Proven expertise with servers, storage, voice/data/wireless networking.Experience working in large, outsourced IT service delivery environments.Strong background in project budget management.Familiarity with managing multiple, concurrent technical initiatives.Desired Skills & ExperiencePMP certification.Previous experience in healthcare environments.Familiarity with proposal estimation.Experience with stakeholder presentations.Background in feasibility and technical planning.Terms
This is a 12-month contract role, with one possible 12-month extension. The position follows a hybrid work model, with onsite presence required-details to be announced. Candidates are preferred to use their own hardware.
