Job description: Osborne Executive Search is collaborating with a leading sovereign development fund to identify a talented and motivated individual for the position of Senior Investment Manager to play a key role in shaping and safeguarding their diverse investment portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a long-term strategic investment engine-blending commercial returns with economic impact.
You’ll collaborate closely with Investment Managers and Directors across the Fund’s private and public market investments, providing insightful, data-driven risk analysis and ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategy and risk appetite.Key Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous risk assessments on new investments and existing portfolio holdings across public and private markets.
• Collaborate with deal teams to challenge assumptions and offer strategic risk insights that enhance decision-making.
• Monitor and review asset allocation and portfolio structure in line with the organisations investment strategy and risk profile.
• Lead scenario analysis and stress testing on exposures, helping build scalable tools and repeatable frameworks.
• Contribute to broader investment thinking by translating market dynamics and economic signals into actionable insights.
• Engage with internal stakeholders (e.g. ESG, Economics, Data, Origination) to ensure integrated risk perspectives.
• Support senior leadership with high-quality risk reporting and insights for Investment Committees and key stakeholders.
• Mentor junior colleagues and provide quality assurance on analytical outputs.

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years’ experience in investment management, risk management, or corporate finance-ideally across both public and private markets.
• Deep knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio construction, valuation, and risk modelling.
• Strong grasp of macroeconomic factors and their impact on investment decisions.
• Experience working with PE, VC, or structured investments is a strong plus.
• Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills with an ability to influence at senior levels.
• CFA qualification or similar (ACA/ACCA) preferred.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to challenge constructively and think independently.
