Job description: Hartley People is recruiting for a Trading/Brokerage company operating in the primary and secondary protein sector and based out of Naas, Co Kildare. It trades internationally, primarily in pork, beef, lamb, poultry and fish products — to the Processing and Food Service sectors. The Company is seeking to fill the role of TraderKey Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
- Revenue and margin generation against agreed targets
- Build and maintain long term positive strong and profitable relationships with new and existing customers
- Implement efficient account planning and reporting
- Manage stock / production levels in conjunction with the Commercial Manager
- Work closely with other functions within the business such as procurement of products for trade
- Maximise business reach across all markets and sectors worldwide
- Support and execute the overall company and product strategies
- Represent QK Meats as one of the leading suppliers of commodity, retail, niche and ingredients protein products
- Worldwide travel required for this role
- Ability to guide and mentor new talent within the team
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:
- Minimum of at least 5+ years sales executive experience and a proven track record within the Agri-food sector
- Proven track record in trading in line with agreed targets
- Extensive knowledge of the protein trading landscape
- Experience and understanding of worldwide markets
- Full driver’s license, valid passport and be prepared for extensive worldwide travel
- Strong motivation skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
- Good sound commercial understanding of business environments
- Experience in an international environment
- Highly organised and structured
- Social competence essential with a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing approach
- Passionate about delivering great customer service
- Analytical and planning skills
- Driven and ambitious to succeed
