We conduct risk based business processes audits globally in the areas of research, development, production and supply for all core Roche businesses (Pharma and Diagnostics). The development of our team members is strongly supported within Group Audit and the Roche Group.For more information and to get a feeling: please have a look at this video: .As a Senior Internal Auditor your key role and responsibilities are to:Conduct risk-based audits of business processes primarily in R&D, production, supply chain and Business Development units in Pharma and Diagnostics. Our audit approach follows the principles outlined by the Institute of Internal Audit ( )Partner with stakeholders, including senior members of the audited organisations, to evaluate business risks, communicate clearly and concisely our observations and concerns, agree on appropriate action plans to improve internal controls as well as the effectiveness of their operationsFollow up on issues and actions identified during the audit to ensure they are completed satisfactorilyAs team lead, effectively manage and support a team of auditors through audit engagements.Who you are:You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.We seek candidates with a strong academic background, holding a Master’s degree, PhD, or MD in a healthcare-related field such as natural sciences or medicine. Additionally, an MBA would be advantageous. You possess 5 to 10 years of practical experience in research and development within the pharmaceutical or diagnostics industry, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of processes and risks in areas like preclinical or clinical R&D, production, supply chain management, strategic marketing, or business development.In addition, you bring the following skills and competencies:A genuine enthusiasm for streamlining and optimizing business processes and workflowsA critical and investigative mindset, with a passion for maintaining Roche’s licence to operateStrong communication abilities, including excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the capability to convey challenging messages clearly and constructivelyProficiency in English, enabling fluent and concise conversation for effective interviews, and the ability to write clear, concise, and reader-friendly reportsExceptional teamwork and collaboration skills, with a preference for working in an international environment and engaging with diverse culturesExperience in project management, in agile ways of working (e.g. as scrum master), or leading transformation are considered as valuable add-onsThis position requires a moderate amount of international travel, accounting for up to 25% of your time, often in two-week stints.This position is located in Basel, Switzerland.Who we areAt Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
