This is your opportunity to gain exposure to the full breadth of responsibilities within the HR profession.Reporting to the HR Manager, the Senior Human Resources Officer is responsible for the provision of end-to-end human resource services and advice to management and staff within CBS. The Senior Human Resources Officer will lead and/or coordinate end-to-end recruitment across the business, provide sound HR advice/guidance on simple and complex matters, deliver HR projects, contribute to workforce policy and procedure development and manage a large portion of the HR administration.We want to hear from you if have:
- Demonstrated experience working as a member of a human resources team, providing high-level verbal and written HR advice;
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end recruitment activities;
- Demonstrated understanding of Government HR policies, determinations and entitlements, awards, and agreements;
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision making that balances HR policy with business need;
- Proven ability to work independently and meet competing priorities and deadlines;
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong and effective working relationships across all levels of staff;
- Experience in developing HR procedures, guidelines, extracting data reports and support material;
- Demonstrated ability to undertake and deal with duties that may be considered to be sensitive, complex and/or critical in nature;
- Experience in identifying, analysing, and addressing complex issues and making sound judgements in the application of policies and procedures;
- Qualifications in HR or related field are desirable.

The branch is responsible for delivering Human Resources, Finance, Auditing, Compliance, Procurement, Facilities, Security and Records Management functionality across CBS. The branch also works closely with other areas of AGD.The Senior Human Resources Officer operates within a complex, sensitive and changing environment and is required to exercise a moderate level of judgement and decision making under limited direction.Special Conditions for EmploymentEmployment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
