You’ll ensure accurate reporting, lead IFRS compliance, and support growth through M&A, finance integration, and process development. Group Finance and Reporting are key partners in solving complex accounting challenges.What will your responsibilities include?Financial Reporting & IFRS Compliance

• Drive the monthly and annual closing process, including consolidation of the Group’s financial statements in accordance with IFRS and preparation of presentations for the Audit Committee
• Prepare the Annual Report and Accounts, coordinating with other functions, ensuring audit readiness, and handling financial statement disclosures
• Analyze and research technical accounting matters, document proposals for complex transactions, and align with auditors and key stakeholders
• Maintain and update Hempel’s Accounting Manual and global reporting instructions, providing guidance on IFRS application

ESG & CSRD Reporting

• Drive CSRD reporting in close collaboration with the Sustainability Function
• Prepare for first-time ESG reporting for 2025, including developing an ESG Reporting Manual, coordinating data collection, and establishing reporting structures
• Control and coordinate ESG reporting processes moving forward

Process Optimization & Strategic Initiatives

• Standardize financial processes in collaboration with business segments and shared service centers
• Lead execution of ad hoc finance initiatives and participate in finance-related projects
• Improve and maintain consolidation processes and system setup with Hempel Digital
• Support various cross-functional projects with Group Treasury, Group Tax, Group FP&A, and Group M&A

Have You Got What We’re Looking For?
As a trusted finance expert, you are meticulous, analytical, and collaborative. You have a strong sense of ownership, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work independently while supporting colleagues. Additionally, you bring:

• A degree in finance, economics, auditing, or a related field
• A recognized IFRS qualification or extensive experience in technical accounting (Big 4 or large multinational preferred)
• Several years of experience in financial controlling, auditing, consolidation, and financial processes
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of ESG and CSRD reporting is a plus
• Experience working in a multicultural environment and influencing stakeholders at various levels
• A consistent track record in driving process optimization and communicating initiatives in an understandable, efficient manner
