This ranges from ensuring our staff and suppliers are paid, ensuring compliance with public sector legislation, standards, and expectations, maintaining a “Licence to operate” and providing strategic and practical financial advice to decision makers to ensure we operate within our budgets and deliver value for money.To support the delivery of these outcomes, the Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting (FPAR) team is responsible to lead, establish and embed an integrated financial planning and reporting approach across the business to operationalise strategy, make investment choices that are aligned to our strategy, and manage changes in a sustainable way.The FPAR team are trusted advisors to the business, providing strategic, commercial and financial advice across Police, from the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to Senior leaders and their teams. The team delivers financial planning, financial analysis, financial modelling, financial performance reporting and tracks delivery against our Strategy.To support the delivery of these outcomes, the Senior Financial Analyst – FPAR role will support the Manager – Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting to deliver accurate financial information on Police’s performance to the Executive and other internal/external stakeholders together with providing high quality analysis and insight to support planning, budgeting, and decision making.Key Accountabilities:

• Support the delivery of management reports to the Police Executive.
• Analyse actual expenditure against budget and highlight any potential risks and issues.
• Develop and enhance reporting on capital expenditure.
• Provides expert advice on general accounting and financial management matters.
• Identify and promote opportunities for business process improvement, in particular relating to the FMIS, reporting tools and enterprise technology.
• Develop and implement tools and processes to allow the business to provide a robust financial forecast
