Job description: About the role
An exciting immediate start role with a industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Senior Financial Accountant’s position will help lead the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. Initially this will be a contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for this role to be extended.The responsibilities
Reporting into the CFO, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

• Manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws (PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation).
• Prepare and lodge BAS returns.
• Lead month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting.
• Support the annual audit by preparing workpapers and coordinating with auditors.
• Assist with tax compliance in collaboration with external advisors.
• Work with finance and cross-functional teams
• Coordinate audit and statutory reporting for legacy periods
• Assist CFO with timely month-end reporting and consolidation
• Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems

The successful applicant will have

• CA or CPA qualification
• At least 6 years experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Full function experiencce
• Exposure to MYOB will be highly favoured
• Must be able to be in the office 5 days a week
