Job description: Senior Financial Accountant (rapidly expanding PLC)Armont Recruitment have partnered with a globally recognised PLC based in Dublin. This business has significantly increased in size in recent years’ due to ambitious business growth plans and continued success.This newly created Senior Financial Accountant vacancy will have primary responsibility for management of both established and new entities within their expanding region, as well as lead direct reports with support from management. This role has been ear marked to progress quickly for the ambitious new hire.This role will suit a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with circa 2 – 4 years’ PQE in a similar multinational environment or large ‘Big 4’ practice.The Role

  • Management of part/qualified accountants, including coaching, mentoring and developing.
  • Management of the preparation of the financial statements.
  • Review of Profit and Loss account and completing analytical reviews.
  • Managing of all Bank Reconciliations for the entities across all currencies.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliation and commentary on all accounts within this area of responsibility to support month end and quarterly reporting.
  • Correspondence with local contacts and dealing with financial issues relating to these entities.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of new process/improvements.
  • Provide any supplementary information to support quarterly / annual reporting.
  • Managing the internal/external/SOX audit reporting requirements for our largest entity.
  • Support any project related activity in these areas.
  • Assisting with Ad hoc Month End Queries.

The Candidate

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with circa 2 – 4 years’ PQE.
  • Leadership qualities or experience of team development/management.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, multicurrency environment.
  • Experience in US GAAP and SOX advantageous.
  • Previous experience of SAP is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Outlook and Excel.
