If you thrive on solving problems, pushing boundaries, and making an impact, this is the place for you.About the roleWe are looking for a technically strong and commercially astute Financial Accountant to partner with, support, and help grow our Finance and Leasing business.Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role play a key part in ensuring accurate lease recognition, asset management, and revenue compliance under relevant accounting standards and Group Policy such as IFRS 16 and IFRS 15 as a lessor.Key Responsibilities Include:

• Management and overseeing of the Leasing business in accordance with Group Policy providing Leasing Business Support and analysis to Operational Managers,
• Review current leasing and finance offerings and identify area’s of growth and improvement including new product and service offerings.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of FUJIFILM Leasing New Zealand (FLNZ) monthly results including review and analysis and explanation of variances to outlook – in accordance with group reporting deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with lessor accounting requirements under IFRS 16, IFRS 15 and Group Policy
• Maintain and reconcile lease asset schedules, including capitalised equipment, lease receivables and depreciation.
• Monitor lease contracts and terms, managing end-of-term accounting for leases (extensions, returns or early termination etc)
• Collaborate with commercial, credit and contract management teams to ensure lease data integrity and controls in place.
• Preparing, reviewing, and managing leasing Company Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure completion and submission of all monthly, quarterly and annual Group Reporting Schedules for FLNZ as per group reporting requirements and comply with group policy
• Support internal and external audits and assist in statutory reporting.

Skills and experience

• 5+ years Financial accounting experience, ideally in asset finance or equipment leasing
• Advanced knowledge of leasing & accounting theory, practice, and internal control across Finance, Operating Leases and Hire Purchase arrangements.
• Excellent Excel & IT skills, including previous experience working with group reporting packages
• Keen to lead, mentor, and have excellent management skills while staying hands-on.
• Strong accounting background, ideally CA/CPA qualified (or working towards).
• Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
