We are a large, complex, and interesting organisation and can offer experience in areas that you may not have come across before.Mō te tūranga mahi | About the roleAs a Finance Operations Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our financial activities. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, administering purchasing card programs, and overseeing reimbursements. You’ll also perform daily bank reconciliations, maintain fixed asset records, and contribute to month-end and year-end reporting tasks.This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to continuous improvement, particularly in leveraging technology to streamline and automate processes. You’ll interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and resolving financial queries promptly.In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the Senior Finance Operations Officer takes on greater responsibility for resolving complex financial issues and escalating them when necessary. You will address system anomalies, support process improvements, and ensure compliance with tax regulations and policies. This role involves using your expertise in problem-solving and data analysis to enhance financial practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations.Indicative salary range for the Finance Operations Officer role is $58,335 – $75,500 with appointment depending on skills and experience. Indicative salary range for the Senior Finance Operations Officer role is $63,696 – $82,430 with appointment depending on skills and experience. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach are essential, along with sound judgment and a commitment to delivering accurate, consistent, and timely customer service.For the Senior role, we’re seeking candidates with 2-3 years of experience in finance operations. You’ll have proven data analysis and problem-solving skills and bring the ability to coach and mentor others in the team.Working with our friendly and supportive Finance Operations team and reporting directly to the Finance Operations Manager, this is a great chance to broaden your technical skills.
