Job description: JOB OVERVIEW**Type:** Full-Time (40 hours/week)
**Location:** Remote (must have some overlap with U.S. Pacific Time)We’re looking for a **Strategic Finance & Modeling Lead** to join our team at Doan Group. If you enjoy building financial models, finding patterns in data, and helping teams make smarter business decisions, you’ll feel right at home here.You’ll work closely with our Fractional CFO to create clear, reliable financial models and forecasts that guide important decisions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the chance to make a real impact – and see your work directly shape how the company grows.—### What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain financial models (P\&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Create forecasts for monthly, quarterly, and annual planning
• Explore different scenarios to help guide strategy
• Develop valuation models when needed
• Work with unit economics and customer metrics (CAC, LTV, payback, margin mix)
• Compare budgets to actual performance and explain the “why” behind the numbers
• Organize and clean data from tools like Stripe, QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Gusto, HubSpot, Salesforce, and ChartMogul
• Help prepare materials for fundraising and investor conversations
• Turn complex data into simple, clear dashboards and reports
• Collaborate with the executive team to keep everyone aligned and informed

—### What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, VC, Big 4 advisory, or FP\&A at a U.S.-based startup
• Comfortable building financial models from scratch
• Strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets
• Experience with BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker
• Understanding of SaaS metrics and segmented reporting
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to communicate clearly
• Able to work with some overlap in U.S. business hours

• Familiarity with tools like LiveFlow, Fathom, or ChartMogul
• Experience in SaaS, services, and product-based businesses
• Exposure to M\&A or fundraising processes
• Ability to tell a compelling story with numbers
