  • Support the development and delivery of financial management training material to support schools.
  • Assist with the development and communication of school accounting policies and procedures.
  • The position is a key contact for schools in terms of financial policy and procedures.

Responsibilities Include:

  • This requires an understanding of financial management practices affecting schools and involves:
  • Undertaking analysis of financial management practices and financial performance of schools.
  • Providing financial management advice to school based staff.
  • Monitoring the level of financial management competencies within schools.
  • Providing appropriate training and development programs to enhance financial management skills.
  • Working effectively in a team environment.

About You:To be successful in this position, it would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:

  • Sound knowledge of contemporary financial management issues and strategies impacting schools.
  • Ability to interrogate and analyse school financial management systems – Agresso and OneSchool Finance.
  • Ability to deliver training programs relating to school financial management, including in an online format.
  • High level communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to influence customer behaviour and implement change.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills appropriate to achieving outcomes within negotiated timeframes.
