Job description: We are seeking a strategic, proactive, and results-driven Senior Executive/Executive, Portfolio Management (UM Innovations) to oversee and support the growth of our startup and spinoff (SUSO) portfolio. This role involves driving business performance through strategic planning, corporate development, fundraising support, and collaboration with potential partners and customers. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping business strategies, supporting transactions, and enhancing the visibility and branding. Responsibilities Creation and onboarding into the startup/spinoff (SUSO) portfolio and business pods. Manage newly created SUSO companies in onboarding process including ensuring SSM registration to include UMI’s shareholding interest. Ensure all important and necessary legal documentations are executed, signed off and stamped. Engagement with the SUSO companies and business pods. Continuous meetings with the SUSO companies in order to achieve deep understanding of their business, their product and services, industry and market and how to address their requirements/needs. Engagement with industry, market, investor community and authorities relevant to the SUSO companies and business pods. Identify suitable business partners and delivery partners to fulfil requirements/needs of the SUSO companies and business pods. Management of operational and financial reporting obligations of SUSO companies and business pods. Request, receive, compile and analyse business and/or project reports from SUSO and business pods. Provide input and assist in preparation of papers for the Board of Directors meeting. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or relevant fields. Candidates with Engineering or Science degrees are also encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate interest and willingness to learn. Minimum 3 years working experience, preferably in portfolio management. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Fast learner with the ability to understand the business models, operations and procedures. Excellent organizational, reporting skills and proficient in Microsoft Office. Possess good communication skills, able to work with all levels of staff in the organization and good team player. Location: Kuala Lumpur
