Working closely with clients, you’ll guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects across the transport, energy, and water sectors.This is a senior role within the Victorian Environment team with leadership opportunities.The role will entail working in close collaboration with the Victorian Environment team leadership cohort to actively support the ongoing success of the team through effective business development, technical excellence, and project delivery.The Opportunity

  • Leading and delivering large, complex environmental impact assessment and approval projects in Victoria, and supporting similar projects in other
  • Australian jurisdictions. This will involve coordinating teams and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary client and regulatory constraints
  • Leading project interface with clients and regulators regarding environmental approvals
  • Working as part of a friendly team, passionate about achieving great outcomes for all
  • Providing technical direction, leadership and growth opportunities to junior members of the team
  • Preparing, leading and providing input into project bidding and business development activities
  • Fostering and developing key client relationships.

Is this role right for you?

  • 8 – 12 years relevant industry experience in a consulting, private industry, or a government environment
  • Experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental planning, and/or statutory approval processes within Australia (experience in Victoria is preferable)
  • Relevant industry experience in major transport, water infrastructure and/or renewable energy projects within a consulting or government business environment would be looked upon favourably
  • Effective written communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple streams of work and communicate progress effectively to internal leadership, clients and regulators
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments, and form positive and collaborative internal working relationships with other areas of the business.
  • Project management, research and analytical skills
  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, planning, law or similar.
