Job description: JOB PURPOSE:Lead all project planning activities pertaining to the successful delivery of the Downstream Marketing & Trading (DM&T) portfolio managed by Ta’ziz Project Integration including both national and international projects executed in co-operation with Joint Venture partners. Reports the status of the projects ongoing within the downstream project delivery program. Integrate all Project Planning disciplines into feasibility study activities, early design, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC tender and selection on projects. Ensure the application of best-in-class tools in line with ADNOC standards across all projects and techniques while finding and adopting the right Planning and Management solutions required to enhance the feasibility of projects as well as their return on investment.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESProject Planning

  • Lead the Project Planning activities within the Function and provide direction and advice related to Project Planning matter on all related projects within the Function, that are managed both nationally and internationally.
  • Manage projects planning and schedules to monitor the Contractors’ and Consultants’ performance during execution to ensure successful projects delivery.
  • Regular review, analysis and assessment of projects updates and progress to identify any critical issues and potential risks at early stage and propose remedial measures for corrective actions.
  • Develop, prepare, assess & present various projects schedules with different possible strategies and scenarios supporting successful delivery of projects.
  • Explore, assess & compare existing projects schedules against baseline, benchmarks etc to ensure reliability & accuracy.
  • Engage with all project teams and external stakeholders to establish a Portfolio Integrated Plan covering all techno-commercial aspects to ensure the successful delivery of the portfolio.
  • Support implementation of Operational Plans on the development of individual ongoing projects. Ensure the integration of all technical and HSSE disciplines throughout initial feasibility, Pre-FEED and FEED as well as in the EPC tender.
  • Advise, integrate project teams together with the other disciplines, contractors, and partner staff to deliver optimal technical solutions on a wide range of petrochemical investment projects.
  • Ensure that project plans and schedules are achievable and consistent in their approach across the project portfolio and aim to deliver maximum value to ADNOC.
  • Collaborate and ensure that all team are working in alignment with ADNOC Operations and with external stakeholders. Focus on achieving the best possible project outcome for ADNOC and the highest possible likelihood of project implementation at FID.
  • Ensure regular update of all projects risk registers in line with Project Risk Management Plan.
  • Ensure that project teams identify, understand, manage and mitigate all project and business risks.
  • Maintain regular updates and track on projects MOC and VOs.
  • Co-operate with the SBD function in Downstream on individual project opportunities for selection and development of new projects in order to implement the best technical and structuring options.
  • Support techno-economic feasibility studies, including pre-FEED and FEED studies of new projects to deliver growth and economic value from Downstream projects.
  • Recommend improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with approved standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the department.
  • Provide support to cost team in Business Planning and CAPEX phasing & forecasting.
  • Facilitate weekly & monthly progress meetings with the project teams and external stakeholders and provide an overall projects update covering possible concerns and challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management / engineering / science or relevant disciplines with supporting experience.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 8 years’ relevant experience in NOC’s/IOC’s, including at least 4 years in a progressive project managerial / leadership position.
  • Major Project Management / Engineering Experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of strategic project planning and management.

  • PMP certificate
