In this exciting and varied role, you’ll perform investigations across our Electricity, Gas and Fibre business, from network incidents and complex asset failures to process failures, performance issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.You’ll utilise your technical expertise and problem-solving nous to identify the root causes of these incidents, and make recommendations that mitigate against future recurrences and improve the reliability of Vector’s network. You’ll present these findings and recommendations in the form of reports and presentations for key stakeholders.Who we are looking forWe envisage you’ll have the following experience and attributes:

  • A relevant qualification, eg in electrical/electronic engineering or electrical trade
  • Several years’ experience in the operation/management of electricity networks, with a wealth of knowledge of the electricity distribution industry and its assets, asset performance and network operations
  • Incident investigations experience, and knowledge of safe working practices
  • An aptitude for preparing insightful reports, and for presenting your findings back to stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • A passion for business improvement and operational excellence.
