Job description: Position Summary:The Senior Director will lead the Strategic Initiative Implementation and execution of projects to meet organization goals and drive business transformation. This position will set expectations, organize, monitor, and support ensuring objectives are met and actions are clearly outlined. In addition, they will facilitate business process re-design and coordinate organizational change management activities to promote successful implementation and adoption.The Senior Director will work with internal and external teams using opportunities that support the strategic plan. Must be comfortable and supremely capable of interacting at the most senior levels of the organization. Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and manage proposals, roadmaps, initiatives, and communication plans in support of the strategic initiative objective to accelerate capability across the company.
- Creatively solve problems with strategic thinking, detail orientation and objectivity to promote patient centric, cross-functional, and cost-effective processes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and significantly contribute to innovation through implementation of enhancements that create high customer value, process efficiencies and/or enhanced quality.
- Develop and implement an approach to identify, refine, and advance commercially viable innovations and accelerate them through a commercialization process.
- Leads and/or participates in complex projects of the Strategic Planning and Business Development function at the corporate, divisional or site level
- The Sr. Director will be assigned to multiple projects at any given time in addition to receiving ad hoc requests as required by the needs of the business.
- Summarize analytical details in support of monitoring and improving KPIs.
- Must have a can-do attitude with the ability to embrace ambiguity and take action without perfect information
- Must have the ability to shape vague situations into a clear framework for advancement of work product and deliverables
- Lead due diligence efforts to assess and engage with external investment opportunity partners and strategic ventures.
- Present opportunities and handle the work-up associated with such, including, but not limited to, the preparation for implementations
- Conduct post-launch assessment of newly implemented initiatives, measuring impact and identifying enhancements and cost savings/return on investment.
- Work cross-functionally with other corporate executives and to build on previous ideas and create new strategies.
- Interact with senior level management to help champion new ideas and ensure appropriate size and scope of proposed action plans.
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills, with successful delivery of projects on time, in line with budget expectations and strategy.
- Formulate and execute a patenting creation policy and strategy for all business units within the corporation.
Qualifications:Education/Training
- Master’s Degree required.
Experience
- Requires a minimum of five (5) years related experience in healthcare administration, project management, industrial engineering, finance, or strategic management.
