What You Will Work On
You will be responsible for the ongoing optimization, and development of our large applications running on MS SQL Server. This includes managing highly optimized stored procedures, ensuring data integrity, and implementing performance enhancements, together with the experts from Operations
You will play a key role in our transition to Apache Kafka on Confluent Cloud. This involves designing and implementing data pipelines, stream processing, and real-time data integration solutions using Kafka
You will collaborate with our development team which primarily uses C# for their services that interact with the database and Kafka. You will collaborate closely with C# developers to provide support, optimize data access, and ensure seamless data flow
You will continuously monitor and fine-tune the performance of our database applications to meet the demands of our applications, ensuring high availability and low latency
You implement and maintain security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations, such as GDPR
What You Bring With You
Proven experience in designing, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale MS SQL Server applications, including expertise in writing and optimizing com-plex stored procedures
Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and experience with its ecosystem, including Confluent Cloud would be a huge plus
Proficiency in C# and the ability to work closely with C# developers to align database and application requirements
Proactive problem solving skills with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive them to resolution as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and take a leading role in our technology transition and an understanding of security best practices and data protection regulations is a plus
