Job Type: Full-timeWhat Does a Senior Data Scientist Do at Al-Futtaim?As a Senior Data Scientist, you will build and deploy high-impact machine learning models to support pricing optimization, predictive analytics, and customer segmentation. You’ll use GenAI, time-series modeling, MLOps, and cloud-based platforms to design scalable and actionable solutions aligned with business goals.What Are the Key Responsibilities?– Develop and implement machine learning models for demand forecasting using ARIMA, LSTM, and XGBoost
– Design dynamic pricing models to maximize revenue using competitor data and demand signals
– Integrate GenAI to simulate future scenarios and enhance forecast accuracy
– Apply clustering, classification, and CLV models for customer analytics
– Use SHAP, LIME, and other explainability tools to improve model transparency
– Apply MLOps practices for continuous deployment, monitoring, and scaling
– Deploy models in Azure with Databricks, leveraging CI/CD and Spark pipelines
– Collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure data-driven alignment with commercial objectives
– Analyze and track model performance using MAE, RMSE, and R² metrics
– Support innovation and the identification of new AI use casesWhat Skills Are Required for This Role?Education & Experience:
– Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related field
– 10+ years of experience in data science, with at least 5 years in demand forecasting, pricing, or customer analytics
– Strong background in Retail, FMCG, or Automotive industries
– Deep hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Databricks, Spark, and cloud platforms like Azure or GCPSpecialized Competencies:
– Advanced expertise in LSTM, ARIMA, XGBoost, and GenAI
– Strong grasp of MLOps best practices for version control, CI/CD, and monitoring
– Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and data security frameworks
– Ability to translate business needs into scalable AI-driven solutions
