The team plays a critical role making data-informed manufacturing decisions spanning all key areas within manufacturing e.g., capacity optimization, process improvement, quality control, maintenance, yield optimization, regulatory filing for new products, and deviation management, etc.As a senior data scientist in the COE Data Science & Biostatistics team, you will perform the following activitiesSelecting appropriate analytical techniques and algorithms to best solve business challengesAbility to choose right tools and infrastructure for data science projects and articulate those decisionsEnsuring quality delivery according to the standards and best practices methodologyTechnical mentorship to junior team membersLeading data science projectsDriving the development of the SW code (quality, documented and reusable) to execute data science algorithmsCommunication and collaboration with diverse stakeholdersUnderstanding of the business context of the decisions to be supportedBuilding mathematical or statistical models using the available dataUse of R or python to design and develop analytical models and data science projects using advanced techniques such as simulations, optimizations and machine learningAssessment of the output of the analytical solution and use the data to draw conclusions, identification of options, and making recommendationsInterpret the results and provide the advice to the business stakeholdersBuilding and maintaining of knowledge on the data sources, the data quality and metadataRecognition of the repeatable situation and suggesting the appropriate level of automation of analyticsPromotion of a culture of modelling and analytics as a differentiator and competitive advantage – an environment that places high value on embedding analytical tools within business processes, and using information to make fact-based decisionsStaying in touch with modern methodology within predictive modellingHow we see an ideal candidateMSc Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics or other related fieldsAt least 2 years of Data Science hands-on experience in Manufacturing spacePassion for advanced analytics (mathematics)Passion for good quality codeDemonstrated proficiency in statistical techniques such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), regression analysis, general linear models, and multivariate methodsWorking with multiple collaboration DevOps tool such as JIRA, Git and Confluence is a plusThe ability to formulate models, analyze them, and program and run in some appropriate system (for example R or Phython)Experience and/or ability to quickly learn new tools like Dataiku, SageMaker, Databricks, Mlflow Spark/ distributed compute environmentExtensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas: mathematical analysis and modelling, probability, stochastic processes, econometrics, machine learning, optimization, simulation, software developmentDemonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to make high-level presentations for senior executivesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with incomplete or imperfect data, including ability to interpret and use the analytical results with real business contextAbility to communicate statistical concepts and analyses to non-statisticiansAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a globally dispersed teamWhat we offerExciting work in a great team, global projects, international environmentOpportunity to learn and grow professionally within the company globallyHybrid working model, flexible role patternPension and health insurance contributionsInternal reward system plus referral program5 weeks annual leave, 5 sick days, 15 days of certified sick leave paid above statutory requirements annually, 40 paid hours annually for volunteering activities, 12 weeks of parental contributionCafeteria for tax free benefits according to your choice (meal vouchers, Lítačka, sport, culture, health, travel, etc.), Multisport CardVodafone, Raiffeisen Bank, Foodora, and Mall.cz discount programsUp-to-date laptop and iPhoneParking in the garage, showers, refreshments, massage chairs, library, music cornerCompetitive salary, incentive pay, and many moreReady to take up the challenge?
