How will I help?You will support the implementation and delivery of data management practices by managing data risk in change for projects. You will be a delivery-oriented data professional working with stakeholders to understand their needs and mature their data management capabilities. You will have a strong ability to influence and support a diverse set of stakeholders to effectively manage and contribute to their data risk environment and the broader data management objectives.Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data community across the group and contribute to improvement of data literacy, data risk management, and data quality
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their business and use of data; then support the execution of the Westpac data management framework
• Support stakeholders on identification of critical data elements (CDEs), mapping of detailed data flow or lineage
• Perform assessments of data risks and assess coverage and effectiveness of controls to mitigate data risks.
• Engage with stakeholders to define Data Quality (DQ) Rules and checkpoints for DQ
• Facilitate decision making by senior leaders recommending approaches and priorities
• Independently manage the work stream and the relationship with stakeholders

• Experience in Data Management including familiarity with principles & practical experience (Business Process and Data Lineage, Data Quality management and monitoring)
• Stakeholder management, including workshop facilitation with technical and risk parties.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve problems.
• Experience with Data Profiling, Data Quality metric development and build including SQL knowledge, Data Risk and Control Assessment is highly desirable
• Ability to communicate complex concepts simply and clearly.
• Depth of experience in a similar role
