Job description: Senior Data Business Analyst – Financial Crime ProgramAbout the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst to join a Financial Crime Program team. In this role, you will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive data-driven solutions within a financial crime transformationKey Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for financial crime-related initiatives.
• Work with technical teams to design and implement data solutions using Teradata and SQL. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for financial crime prevention.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract insights from large datasets.
• Support end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical specifications.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in Financial Crime Programs (AML, Fraud, Sanctions, or Transaction Monitoring).
• Strong expertise in Teradata, SQL, and data analysis.
• Ability to work with large datasets, perform deep dives, and generate meaningful insights.
• Proven experience in financial services, banking, or a regulated industry.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise between business and technology teams.

Candidates must be based in Sydney with full work rights.
