Royal Caribbean Group is pleased to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, and excellent career development opportunities, each offering unique ways to explore the world.The Royal Caribbean Group’s Revenue Management Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Data Analyst, Forecasting Strategy reporting to the Lead, Commercial Strategy.Position is onsite and based in Miami, FLThe Senior Data Analyst will support in accurately forecasting future outlooks based on recent and historic data to set targets at the market, state, and channel levels. This position proactively identifies opportunities through best-in-class data extraction and translation to contribute towards profitable sourcing and channel allocation for the Royal Caribbean International brand. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining complex data workflow models to accurately predict and volume and revenue forecast numbers and help create strategies to deliver the optimal mix. This role will also support in the analysis and interpretation of data to add a component of strategy to the numbers considering historical and current trends as well as profitability.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports in analyzing profitability levels by market and state to drive optimal sourcing strategies.
  • Presents sourcing and channel targets to leadership.
  • Holds meetings with international teams to align on sourcing and channel targets.
  • Leverages both technical and advanced mathematical skills to procure, interpret, and convert data into insightful analyses that inform business decisions and facilitate commercial reporting.
  • Enhances data management processes through advanced SQL queries and analytics platforms, managing and creating workflows that generate and maintain complex forecasting models as well as internal data sources.
  • Champions KPI design and implementation to support the deployment of comprehensive initiatives that drive incremental revenue for the brand.
  • Responsible for development of new models, as well as improvements to our current models, used to analyze and predict patterns and behavior related to demand, revenue, and market nuances.
  • Employs technical and analytical skillset to incorporate and scale predictive analytics into commercial reporting that informs business decisions and product management while optimizing revenue.
  • Responsible for developing US State and DMA targets by integrating historical data, recent trends, and profitability strategies as well as reporting on performance versus track expectations.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university required with focus in quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or master’s degree (MA) preferred but not required.
  • One to Three years of related experience in financial / business analysis or related field preferred. Familiarization with revenue management concepts and tools preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding of Revenue Management concepts and tools or basic economics.
  • Previous experience with Sales, Marketing, Analytics preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in implementing system enhancements and decision-making tools preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Alteryx or Knime Analtyics, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, Oracle SQL, PowerBI or Tableau, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential.
  • Knowledge of reservations system and revenue management data preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity. Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret revenue performance data.
  • Ability to logically structure quantitative analyses of complex issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in global environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once.
