Find us wherever there’s a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made.Our Financial Services Climate and Sustainability practice are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant/Manager with sustainability regulation expertise to join the teamOur team is formed of specialists in climate and sustainability who have worked at some of the world’s leading financial institutions, regulators, and think tanks. - Working with leading financial institutions, including banks, insurers, and asset managers, to navigate the complexities of sustainability regulations and embed them into their organisations.
- Supporting the design and implementation of target operating models, enabling clients to align their operations, reporting, and governance with evolving sustainability requirements.
- Advising on how regulatory compliance can unlock broader opportunities, positioning sustainability regulations as enablers for business growth and long-term resilience.
- Supporting the design and implementation of key controls, translating and embedding regulatory requirements into organisational processes, leveraging data, systems, and governance structures to drive effective implementation.
- Supporting the development and submission of high-quality, assurance-ready sustainability disclosures, such as CSRD-aligned reports and financial filings, that enhance transparency and accountability.
- Building client capabilities to address current and emerging regulatory demands across UK, Europe and other key jurisdictions, ensuring long-term compliance readiness.
- Identifying synergies between regulatory compliance and broader sustainability goals, such as transition planning and achieving net-zero commitments, to maximise impact.
You will also be involved in supporting the development of the regulatory change team and our go-to-market propositions through:
- Representing Baringa’s regulatory expertise, sharing insights during client engagements, industry forums, and working groups to shape the conversation on sustainability.
- Contributing to internal knowledge-sharing, enabling teams across Baringa’s geographies to better support clients and deliver exceptional results.
- Supporting the development of sustainability regulation thought leadership
- Supporting in business development activities by identifying new business opportunities, responding to requests for proposals, and proactively networking
Your skills and experience
- You have experience working on sustainability-related regulations, such as CSRD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, or equivalent, and understand their impact on financial institutions.
- Ideally, you have experience working with or within CFO and Risk & Compliance functions, giving you insight into financial reporting, compliance, and how sustainability integrates into decision-making and organisational strategy.
- You bring a background in consultancy, professional services, or a related field, with proven experience managing projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- You have a strong understanding of the financial services sector, including the challenges and opportunities of embedding sustainability into reporting and operational processes.
- You are skilled at translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, actionable steps that align with broader business strategies and sustainability goals.
- You excel in client engagement, building trusted relationships and clearly communicating complex ideas to senior stakeholders.
- You may hold or are working towards a relevant qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or an equivalent, providing you with a robust foundation in financial reporting and disclosure requirements.
- You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing technical knowledge with a pragmatic approach to solving client challenges.
