This is an individual contributor role, providing support to the Quality & Compliance Team, by coordinating with different factories, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, to ensure products and Packaging are accurately labelled and comply with all global product/waste packaging regulations.As a brand custodian this role will work with the Compliance Manager to ensure the legislative compliance of our products through collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, implementing and maintaining compliance programs across all sourcing locations in the globe including all in-scope in nominated suppliers in terms of compliance management support, execution of corrective action plan, continuous improvement plans, and verification.THE GIGResponsible for checking Dr. Martens products/labelling regulations are accurate and up to date for all major markets, ensuring legal compliance is communicated and implemented.Numerate and literate with good communication skills, able to relay with all parties giving clear and concise advice and instruction on compliance programs to ensure the overall product & labelling accuracy.Review the products and packaging materials for Dr Martens products to ensure the legal compliance and various standards in different markets.Monitor the testing program(s) of Dr. Martens products to ensure the legal compliance and various standards in different markets.Provide on-site guidance and training for factories & suppliers to ensure alignment expectations and drive towards achieving common goals.Implement and maintain the compliance programs with Compliance Manager, to liaise with nominated test houses, and manage their performance with clear KPIsDevelop and maintain Dr Marten’s guideline, SOP, and compliance documents.To act as the knowledge leader and expert for product & labelling compliance and experienceTo attend relevant industry eventsAny other tasks as assigned by Compliance Manager.THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APARTIt’s never just a job at Dr. Martens. We believe each role is as unique as the person who does it.To be our Senior Compliance Officer (Regulations), you will also possess these qualities:Degree holder or above in related discipline.Minimum 8-10 years in product compliance experience in brand / retailer industry.In-depth experience in products compliance requirement and regulatory standards for UK/EU/US/Asia marketsExpertise knowledge in international regulations, e.g.textile and footwear labelling, Waste packaging, CPSIA, China GB standards and PPE.Sound understanding of international test methods.Excellent communication and organisational skills dealing with all internal & external parties giving clear and concise advice and instruction.Excellent IT skills including Intermediate/Advanced Excel.Credible, responsible, independent, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.High standard of integrity and compliance understand importance of the diligence required to maintain accurate records and have the tenacity to pursue the correct information as required from all parties.Self-motivated and desire to succeed with ability to take on a breadth of work scope to deliver positive and commercially viable outcomes.Good command of spoken English and Mandarin, and excellent written English ability essential.A successful candidate will demonstrate their super-power in Drive, Connect and Organise.Your technical capability will go hand in hand with our DM Way success factors:Develop : build on your strengths and superpowers while stepping outside your comfort zone to encourage growth and development – both for yourself and your colleagues.Lead : set individual performance and development goals linked to our business strategy.
