Job description: Overview:A senior leader to oversee end to end communication strategies for our International Beverages Region based in Dublin, Ireland. This role will act as the business partner for the IB Organization, overseeing communication strategies and programs with focus on corporate reputation, brand marketing, employee communications as well as external and bottler/franchise communications and engagements. This role will also join the IB Corporate Affairs Leadership Team as well as the IB Marketing Leadership Team.The leader must be an expert across the various communications disciplines with a strong proven track record operating and working globally. As part of this matrixed role, the leader must have extensive experience managing diverse teams, leading cross-functional teams and agency partners to deliver both operational and functional goals. Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic communications advisory to our IB Leadership team.
  • Partner with senior leaders (IB CEO, CPO, CMO and the larger IB leadership team) to align on key communication priorities and timing.
  • Lead a team of communication professionals to modernize how we communicate and engage the wider public on our International Beverage business (outside North America).
  • Promote and protect PepsiCo’s IB Region’s reputation across key international markets.
  • Partner with our Marketing leadership team to design and implement pro-active, creative and impactful Brand PR campaigns.
  • Driving a modern media strategy to connect PepsiCo’s IB bands with consumers.
  • Partner with our Franchise teams international to create communication platforms to engage our larger PepsiCo bottling network and partners across key international markets.
  • Managing proactive communications program creation and message development, including business and beverage category narrative/storytelling and executive thought-leadership platforms to actively promote PepsiCo reputation with consumers, customers and employees
  • Act as a central point for aligning messaging across functions, ensuring consistency and clarity.
  • Drive the development of employee communication programs to support associate engagement and leadership alignment.
  • Oversee employee communications advising and content development for organizational announcements, workforce strategies, and crisis communications in partnership with external communications teams
  • Partner with HR and transformation offices to craft strategic messaging around the operating model and workforce changes.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years relevant experience in communications.
  • World-class communications skills, with the ability to translate messages to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong experience working in international markets and managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide ability working with and advising senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Global acumen and learnings/teaching orientation.
  • Proven track record of driving successful, insight-based, creative communications programs that delivered against business objectives, on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and build trusted relationships across different geographies and teams.
  • Proven leader in times of crisis, with ability to stay calm and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work, network, communicate and motivate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Team player with a collaborative, inclusive style. Passion for training, engaging and sharing learnings, best practices and insights to support all global and market teammates.
  • Highly responsive, flexible and agile thinker, with great negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding media relations skills including strategic planning, managing complex issues, mitigating negative stories and the ability to story mine
  • Strong expertise in strategic influencer and key opinion leader communications.
  • Unique experiences that demonstrate media instincts and deep consumer empathy.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
