Partners with relevant functional teams to ensure delivery of applications aligned to the business and IT strategy, as well as the support of those applications. Works with relevant business groups to define their global IT requirements and to analyze appropriate solutions. Manages projects from inception to completion.Responsibilities
Business Requirements AnalysisPartners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements for defined-scope enhancements, typically pertaining to a specific functional areasProcess Modeling and DesignPartners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business process models for defined-scope enhancements, typically pertaining to a specific functional areas, using industry standard modeling techniquesStakeholder ManagementManages stakeholder expectations, inputs and communications directly or via project manager, depending on project scopeGuides business and project delivery stakeholders through IT process and obtains relevant participationSolution DesignResponsible for designing and documenting solutions within own trackInteracts with other track BSAsIs an expert in the supported functional trackCan vet data models, technical designs and drive best practicesDocumentationFollows guidelines and templates relevant to a particular technology stack to produce the necessary project artifactsFunctional DesignDevelop functional designs for specific functional areas for significant enhancements or projectsOwns and evangelizes functional designs across cross-functional groupsEnsures that functional designs meet business needs and are in line with the solution designKeeps up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designsTesting & Test DesignOwns specific modules in the application and develops test cases based on requirements and technical designDefines test strategy and execution approach to test specific modules of an applicationCoordinates with stakeholders and obtains relevant signoffsClarifies defects, triage, and coordinates resolution with engineering teamsProject ManagementManages enhancement and project releases for specific modulesEnsures delivery meets release goalsSystem ConfigurationsDevelops mastery in configurations of specific module/modules of an applicationBrings in best practices by keeping up-to-date with the technology and vendor productsDocuments configurations for future use and trainingDay to Day Support (Production Support)Supports first-level resourcesTriages and troubleshoots issuesWorks with various functions within GTS to ensure RCA is complete and SLAs are metTraining and Change ManagementWorks directly with functional SMEs and management teams to coordinate SME training requirements and executionCommunicates status against key support issuesVendor ManagementEnsures vendor resources have appropriate workspace, system access, and toolsManages/leads individual consulting resources as assignedUnderstand vendor roadmapsManages feedback and escalations, negotiation, and contract renewalsConducts limited-scope vendor negotiationsProvides status against plans and escalates issuesVendor & Application Technology EvaluationSupports the creation of vendor and application technology evaluation plans and presentationsMay conduct research, pilot features, and document and prepare recommendations for reviewConducts limited-scope vendor negotiationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, IT, or a related field.Worked on Oracle Cloud applications like Oracle General Ledger, Accounts PayablesAccounts Receivables, Purchasing and Project Accounting modules6 to 10 years of experience working within a large multinational company witha finance and accounting organization.Strong written and oral communication skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesWillingness to travel occasionally if neededOptional HeaderPreference to Accounting, computer science, or mathematics-related fields of studyEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
