Job description: About the roleAs Senior Business Planning and Reporting Officer, you’ll work as part of a small team to provide planning and logistical support to the Biosecurity Operations Branch.
- Assist in emergency preparedness and response activities, including resource, skills, and training planning.
- Record operations findings documents from Biosecurity Inspectors using electronic systems.
- Provide business support and collaborate with Biosecurity Tasmania’s management team.
- Work with various personnel including operational staff from the Australia Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
- Provide support to one direct report.

Conviction check in the following conviction areas:1. Crimes of violence
2. Sex related offences
3. Serious drug offences
4. Crimes involving dishonesty
5. Serious traffic offences
6. Any other offences under the Biosecurity Act 2019, or related legislationDesirable requirements
- A Certificate IV qualification, or the ability to obtain a Certificate IV qualification in plant health, animal health, land management, invasive species management, biosecurity emergency management or government investigations or statutory compliance relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider.
