Job description: Senior Business Analyst – Financial Systems – PerthRole OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with experience in financial planning systems and business process improvement. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, facilitate workshops, and support the selection and evaluation of financial software solutions.Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and document system and business requirements
• Analyse and translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Develop comprehensive documentation including business process models, use cases, user stories, and solution briefs
• Support the selection and evaluation of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software
• Stay informed on industry trends, tools, and best practices in business analysis and financial systems

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in finance or enterprise systems projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
• Experience creating detailed documentation: business process models (e.g. BPMN), use cases, and user stories
• Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes
• Exposure to or involvement in financial software evaluation or implementation projects
• Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, and Word

Desirable

• Experience with financial planning tools (e.g. Anaplan, Oracle EPM, Adaptive Insights)
• Knowledge of public sector finance or corporate FP&A functions
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP, CCBA, Agile BA)
