Job description: Job Summary:Porter Airlines is executing a multi-year modernization of its core Flight Operations systems, transforming capabilities across Crew Operations, Airports, Flight Dispatch, Scheduling, and other essential operational domains. The new platform will replace legacy systems with advanced digital tools, streamlined workflows, and integrated data models, laying the foundation for long-term growth and operational excellence.Reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis and Business Relations, the Senior Business Analyst is a critical role responsible for shaping, leading, and delivering business transformation across the program. This individual will define the future state of business operations, lead organizational change management, and ensure end-to-end business readiness, from process design and benefit realization to documentation and sustainment.As a key leader in the Business Transformation & Change (BTC) practice, this individual will also coach other Business Analyst on the team and contribute to the maturing business analysis function at Porter, promoting discipline in quality control, requirements traceability, and transformation governance. Duties & Responsibilities:Transformation Strategy & Execution
- Lead development of the future-state operating model across Ops Core domains – Airports, Crew Mgmt, Flight Ops, Maintenance to ensure alignment with Porter’s strategic goals
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current state processes, constraints, and improvement opportunities
- Translate transformation goals into actionable business and technology requirements with supporting documentation
- Define benefit realization targets and collaborate with finance and operational leads to monitor outcomes through post-implementation phases
Change Management and Readiness
- Design and lead the change management strategy, including stakeholder engagement, communications planning, and readiness assessments
- Collaborate with training and HR teams to develop user learning strategies and ensure tailored, role-based training paths
- Develop and maintain knowledge artifacts including SOPs, playbooks, escalation paths, and training guides
- Monitor adoption metrics and support frontline and management teams through change curves and sustainment planning
Business Analysis and Documentation Leadership
- Oversee the development of high-quality business specifications, functional requirements, and configuration decision logs
- Ensure traceability from requirements through QA and cutover, supporting structured testing and validation
- Lead efforts to map and document current state and future workflows across multiple stakeholder groups
- Establish and monitor quality assurance and quality control standards for business-facing deliverables
Mentorship and Practice Maturity
- Act as a coach and day-to-day guide to the other Ops Core Project Business Analyst
- Provide coaching on Porter’s business analysis and transformation standards, including documentation quality, facilitation techniques, and analytical rigor
- Contribute to the definition and maturity of Porter’s Business Transformation & Change (BTC) practice by advocating for best practices in analysis, documentation, and change enablement
- Champion a mindset of continuous improvement and cross-functional learning within the project team
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Build strong, trusted relationships with operational leaders, system vendors, technical teams, and program stakeholders
- Represent the voice of the business in system configuration, testing, and integration workshops
- Coordinate with the QA Lead and Data Lead to ensure that business requirements are validated through structured testing, including UAT planning and execution
- Participate actively in project governance, status reporting, and issue resolution forums
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understanding, complying with and promoting the Company Safety Policy and Non-Punitive Reporting Policy;

Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of experience in business transformation, consulting, or operational improvement roles, ideally in aviation, transportation, or similarly complex regulated industries
- Proven ability to lead large-scale transformations across business functions and operational environments
- Deep experience in process mapping, current/future state analysis, and operating model design
- Strong background in documentation practices, including functional specs, SOPs, and change impact assessments
- Experience supporting or leading change management strategies, including training input and stakeholder adoption
- Familiarity with QA/validation processes and collaboration with test teams for UAT, SIT, and configuration verification
- Demonstrated ability to define and track benefit realization metrics and link them to business case commitments
- Prior experience coaching analysts or developing practice maturity (e.g., standards, templates, reviews)
- Familiarity with airline operations systems such as Lufthansa NetLine, Sabre, Amadeus, Navitaire, or similar is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of cross-functional working sessions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline
- PMP, PROSCI, Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, or similar certifications are preferred
