You will be responsible for managing backlogs, guiding multidisciplinary teams, conducting user research, and ensuring solutions meet accessibility and design standards.Our client is looking for a Business Analyst for a contract opportunity of 9 months based in Toronto 📍, requiring on-site presence 3 days per week. The role will run for an initial term with one potential extension of up to 93 days. • Lead the design and development of intuitive digital user experiences
• Facilitate backlog management and product visioning using tools like Jira and Azure DevOps
• Conduct stakeholder consultations, define epics and user stories, and drive content strategy
• Work in a hybrid Agile environment and contribute to continuous product iterations
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0/2.1 Level A & AA)
• Guide wireframing, journey mapping, prototyping, and usability testing
• Provide UX and design mentorship to teams and clients
• Collaborate closely with developers, content teams, and vendors for end-to-end product delivery
• Apply design thinking and lean UX practices to shape user-centred solutions
• Deliver project documentation: product roadmaps, KPIs, test strategies, and executive summaries
• Support UAT, defect triage, test planning, and risk mitigation activities
• Translate business needs into actionable user experiences and digital journeys

Qualifications
Must Have:

• Strong experience designing UX for complex online products and services 🧠
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM delivery methodologies (Scrum Master experience a plus)
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools: Adobe Suite, InVision, Balsamiq, etc. 🎨
• Experience with backlog and sprint management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Pivotal Tracker)
• Working knowledge of usability, accessibility, and UX principles (WCAG 2.0-2.1) ♿
• Demonstrated ability to design responsive, mobile-first web layouts
• Understanding of content architecture, taxonomies, and navigation strategies
• Strong people skills to lead cross-functional teams and mentor others
• Ability to conduct research, user interviews, and A/B testing
• Familiarity with public sector digital standards and practices

Nice to Have:
📋 Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud & Miro, Confluence, Trello
💬 Strong communication and facilitation skills
📈 Familiarity with digital performance metrics and KPIs
📚 Understanding of digital government design standards
